You may wonder what is the difference between cacao and cocoa? It is not just the spelling! You may be more familiar with cocoa powder, which is commonly used for baking chocolate cakes and brownies. While both cacao and cocoa come from the same beans, cocoa is fermented, roasted, and processed at a high temperature. Packaged cocoa often contains added dairy and sugar. Cacao is minimally processed and contains no additives, and is believed by many to be healthier. And last, there are cacao nibs, which are fermented and dried pieces of cacao beans that are often used as toppings and decorations.

- 1 cup (250 ml) nut milk of your choice
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon organic raw cacao powder
- 2 teaspoons unsweetened flaked coconut (optional)
- 1 teaspoon organic virgin coconut oil
- 1/2 ripe banana
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A few blocks ice
TO MAKE THIS JUICE:
First, place the coconut milk (or other milk of your choice) in the blender and add the chia seeds. Give it a stir, and leave it to soak for 30 minutes.
Now, just add the rest of the ingredients, and blend it on high speed until smooth! Pour in a glass and sip slowly and enjoy the chocolate taste!
