The effects of lockdown due to Covid-19 have impacted my life and my activity levels.  I haven’t been able to work out as I used to in the gym, as I stopped going to the gym.  So, the impact has been that I lost energy, gained weight and just haven’t been feeling like myself.

Now I am back exercising, and more specifically, doing weight and resistance training.  I also want to support my metabolism with the food that I eat.

Equipment

  • Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer EVO820
  • High-speed blender

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1/2 medium pineapple skin removed
  • 1/2 grapefruit skin and pith removed
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 3-4 mint leaves
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 cup b brewed green tea
  • 1 tbsp hemp seed protein powder
  • 1/4 tsp chia seeds
  • 3-5 ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • Feed the spinach, pineapple, grapefruit and celery through the Kuvings juicer.
  • Pour the juice in a blender cup. Add the avocado, mint leaves, green tea, hemp powder, chia seeds and ice cubes.
  • Blend on a high speed until smooth. Pour in a glass and enjoy!

Notes

I use hemp seed protein powder as a source of protein, but you can also use pea protein powder or a vegan protein powder.
