It is always best to enjoy your juice just after you have made it!  But sometimes you have a busy day ahead, or you have a lot of produce that you want to juice before it goes bad.  You can make your juice and store it – here are the top tips to help you!

Use glass bottles when storing fresh juice.  Plastic bottles may seem like a good idea, but plastic leaches chemicals.  Also, the natural compounds of the juice do not do well in sealed plastic bottles.  


Put your juice in the refrigerator if you want to drink it a bit later.  Juices made with a centrifugal (high-speed) juicer can last for 4 to 6 hours in the refrigerator, while cold-pressed (slow) juices can last for up to 2 days in the refrigerator. If you are travelling, bring your juice in a cooler.


Fill the bottle full.  Fill the bottle to the top to prevent oxygen from getting in which can deplete the nutrients. Unless you freeze it, then leave some space for the juice to expand as it freezes.


You can freeze your juices.  If you are making a lot of juice, you can freeze it.  Freeze your juice as soon as you made it.  Don’t put the lid on the bottle, as the juice will expand as it freezes, and you don’t want a bottle to burst.  You can freeze the juice for 7 to 10 days. Thaw the juice in the refrigerator.  


Store in a cool, dark environment away from heat and light.
